At Shikkari Karate Kai we have a zero tolerance against bullying within and outside the club/dojo and have an anti-bullying policy in place to protect all students.

We also have a named welfare officer in place who is Sensei Tony Smith. His role is the first point of contact in the club for any welfare issues (children or adults. The role is to act of a source of advice about safeguarding and protecting children, promoting good practice and for liaison between students, parents, club staff/volunteers and NAKMAS about any welfare concerns or referrals.

As a club we are part of the NAKMAS national safe kids campaign, which Sensei Brett Wilkinson has been trained and advised within areas of, anti-bullying, abuse and how to deal with the issues that children face everyday of their lives. This campaign is supported by charities NSPCC, BullyingUK and Childline.
