Welcome to our annual newsletter of 2012. This is where we can inform you of events that have taken place within the year and dates that classes will return in the new year.

January 2012- Student of the month
Jodie Shelley at Stanley
February 2012- The N.K.A Karate competition at Jarrow Community Centre.
We were so proud of all students that took part in the competition and were very impressed with the staggering 32 trophies that the club won in total. Lets see if we can win even more trophies in 2013.
February 2012- Student of the month
Katie Reed at Stanley and Ellie Baker at Consett
March 2012- First S.K.K Grading of the year
This turned out to be the biggest grading to date for S.K.K with an amazing 43 students grading.
March 2012- Student of the month
Cameron Smith at Stanley
April 2012- Student of the month
Anna Dowey at Stanley and Alan Crawley & Gary Kennedy at Consett.
May 2012- Student of the month
Azariah Smith at Stanley and Liz Lawson at Consett
June 2012- Second S.K.K Grading of the year
This saw yet another record number of students grading.
June 2012- Student of the month
Luke Potts at Stanley and Greg Otwinowski at Consett.
July 2012- Neve Alicia Wilkinson born
Sensei Brett Wilkinson and Donna Wilkinson celebrated the birth of their daughter Neve. We think she’ll be in a karate suit before we know it and following in her daddy’s foot steps.
July 2012- Student of the month
Holly Richardson at Stanley and Amanda Waugh at Consett.
August 2012- Student of the month
Emily Henson at Stanley and Issac Stuart at Consett
September 2012- Oxhill Youth Centre announced as new venue.
We moved our Wednesday session to an exciting new dojo which gave us more room to train with improved on site changing facilities.
September 2012- Student of the month
Hannah Wilkinson at Stanley and Kyle Ainsley & Ellie Baker at Consett
September 2012- Third S.K.K Grading of the year
This saw a 100% pass rate for the 33 students who graded which was an a very impressive result.
October 2012- Student of the month
Alfie Walton at Stanley and Sam & David Oliver at Consett
November/ December 2012- Student of the month
Emily Henson at Stanley and John Graham at Consett.
December 2012- Student of the Year
Emily Henson was awarded the Student of the year trophy for her outstanding dedication and effort she has put in this year to achieve her Black belt 1st Dan.
December 2012- Final S.K.K Grading of the year.
We had yet another 100% pass rate for the 36 students who took part in the grading. Very impressive result as Emily Henson passed her Black belt 1st Dan grade too. A great way to finish the year!
